Because We Are All in This

TOGETHER

Our Slogan

A simple question that opens the door to connection, starts conversations, and reminds people they’re not alone.

Our Why

Our Mission

Our Vision

The KV Foundation for Mental Health honors the life and spirit of Kevin Vigeant. Kevin believed in checking in, showing up, and lifting others. We carry that legacy by helping our community talk openly about mental health and connect with honesty and care.

Together, we’re changing the culture—one story, one conversation, one connection at a time.

We believe mental health is part of everyone’s story.

Our mission is to:

  • Normalize conversations about mental health.

  • Build partnerships that make resources easy to find and simple to access.

  • Support future mental health professionals through our scholarship program.

We’re not just raising awareness; we’re changing the culture and the way people connect and care for each other.

We envision communities where reaching out for support is understood as strength. Where schools, workplaces, and families treat mental health with the same attention and care as they treat physical health.

By bringing our community together, one conversation at a time, we can build that world.

Our Future

We are expanding partnerships to:

  • Share vital resources like 988 and 211.

  • Offer education, training, and community dialogue.

  • Increase the number of trained providers in Connecticut through scholarships.

Together, we’re building a future where support is easy to find, care is accessible, and every person feels seen and valued.

The KV Foundation for Mental Health is dedicated to normalizing conversations around mental health and building communities of care and connection.

Our mission is simple but powerful: To raise awareness, build understanding, and connect individuals with the support and resources they need to thrive.

We believe mental health affects all of us—5 in 5—and that simple actions like asking “you good?” can spark a meaningful conversation. Through education, outreach, and advocacy, we work to ensure mental health is supported, understood, and prioritized

Our work focuses on:

  • Community education & awareness programs that promote resilience, empathy, and proactive mental health care.

  • School, workplace, and community partnerships to strengthen understanding and make resources accessible to everyone.

  • Scholarships for future mental health professionals to expand the field and ensure compassionate care for all.

  • Resource connections that link people directly to help, including 988 and local mental health supports.

  • At KV Foundation, we believe mental health should be treated with the same care and urgency as physical health. By starting conversations and strengthening community connections, we’re building a world where mental health is supported, understood, and prioritized.

  • 👉 Join us. Start the conversation. you good? Let’s talk about it.  Because connection can change a life.

This is a place to feel seen and understood.
